Active Raid Groups - Crit For Brains

Due to a recent thirst for progress, we now run a single hard-core progressive group each week, which is currently progressing through the game's heroic content. This group is selected from available players who best compliment the difficulty of the encounter. This of course means that this group is not set-in-stone or fixed to only 10 individuals. We generally select from a pool of around 15 of our strongest players to populate this group.

We also run 2 or 3 casual groups along side the core team every week, which consist of those core raiders not selected for the progress group, full time raiders, casual raiders and often social members of our guild. We also regularly use alts of core raiders in these groups to ensure as many groups as possible run each week, and allow the entire guild to benefit from their experience. These secondary groups often take down end-of-wing bosses and should in no way be considered inferior, they simply have less of a hard-core focus, generally to entertain less experienced raiders and those who do not enjoy spending an entire evening wiping on a single boss!!

Running so many groups also allows us to ensure that members who can only play on selected nights each week have the best opportunity possible to experience a side of the game that would simply not be possible in less active or attendance focused guilds. We do not demand a minimum attendance, but we will give priority to those accepting invites early. Raiding just one or two nights a week is a very real possibility here and arrangements can often be made to cover absences due to our large, friendly player base and extremely high number of raid-ready alts.

All groups are rotated at most bi-weekly and even our raid leaders are regularly changed. This way there is no favoritism and different ideas on how to approach various situations can be suggested and put into action.
